Born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1966
 

Photography has always been more than a profession to me — it is my way of understanding the world. Since 1994, when I began my journey as a freelance photojournalist, I have worked across the vast landscape of Portuguese media, contributing to several national newspapers and publications. Over the years, these experiences shaped my eye, my technique, and my instinct for being in the right place, at the right moment.
 

In recent years, my work has been increasingly dedicated to sports photojournalism - an area where emotion, movement, tension and unpredictability come together in split seconds. Capturing the energy of competition, the raw intensity of athletes, and the stories hidden behind each moment has become one of my greatest passions.
 

Between my various projects, I had the privilege of serving as the official photographer of Sporting Clube de Portugal for two years - an experience that deepened my connection to sports imagery and allowed me to follow the heartbeat of a major club from the inside.
 

Throughout my career, I have taken thousands of photographs around the world, always driven by the same purpose: to document stories that matter, moments that move, and emotions that deserve to be shared.
